Herman's Ordinary Day

Herman, Arnold, Mary and Billy are having an ordinary day of flying fun. Herman suddenly becomes very serious and starts thinking deeply about the world, life and such. He then asks old Bert about the origin of life and why we are here. Wise old Bert answers his questions simply but profoundly in a delightful way.

Review

“Herman’s Ordinary Day”, in The Adventures of Arnold A. Airplane series, is different than Bill’s previously
written books. Bill’s first 6 books were concerning family values, morals, life’s struggles and more. In this
little reader the author, with his God-given talent, finds a way to communicate in child-like language the
theories of creation and evolution. When Bill mentioned the subject for his new book, I had my doubts that he
would be able to communicate these concepts and theories to an elementary level reader. As I started to read
through the pages, my perspective went from reviewing this children’s book to actually being challenged by
its TRUTH. “Herman’s Ordinary Day” is yet another of Bill’s many stories teaching that we each have the
capability to choose what we wish to believe and how we choose to act. A few examples are: your choice
to follow the rules or do your own thing as in “Arnold’s First Flight, to be brave or fearful as in “Billy the Bully”,
or to focus on your limitations or rise above them as in “Merry Mary Monoplane”. In this story you find yourself
facing yet another choice. Do you choose to believe in the Creation of the universe by Intelligent Design, or in the
many varying theories of evolution?
